UPDATE!!! UPDATE !!!! Midriff vs. Verbicide Mag. for Night VI of Residency at Radio

We are half way through our year long residency at Radio in Somerville, Ma commemorating our decade of indie/DIY music. It’s a blast. We have something special happening for the July edition.   We’ve asked our friends at the online magazine Verbicide to co-curate the evening. It’s going to be great.  We’ve been fans of Verbicide since back when they were publishing their print edition. What is great about their magazine is that although music is heavily featured their focus goes beyond that.  Verbicide’s Fiction section is fantastic and their original Comics are inspired.  It’s really a great institution, with tons to check out and if you haven’t been visiting them regularly you are cheating yourself.  We really dig them and were psyched that they’d be building the July bill with us.

In the Midriff corner for the night we have Eldridge Rodriguez and Greg Lyon.  If you consider that Dennis plays in E.R. you’ll have 3/5ths of The Beatings operating that night. Verbicide is bringing two bands from Western Mass, Home Body (winner of Verbicide’s Unsigned Band Contest) and Giraffes? Giraffes!.  Line up, links and show info is:

If you haven’t been to one of our residency nights yet you’ve been missing the best monthly residency in Boston. In addition to the bands from the Midriff roster who have performed: The Beatings, Eldridge Rodriguez, Greg Lyon, Age Rings, ZL, M.G. Lederman, and Louder My Dear we’ve brought you some of the best and most eclectic lines ups throughout the year showcaseing acts like Soccer Mom, Young Adults, Sarah Borges, The Roman Numeral Three, Relations (NYC), Cooling Towers, Ho-Ag, AM Stereo, and Black Helicopter coming in Aug.  We’ve brought you live DJ sets and magicians, sometimes on the SAME BILL!!!!  These nights have been a lot of fun. We hope you’ll continue coming out to Radio the last Sat. of every month throughout 2012 to celebrate with us.  We’ll see you on July 28.
