THE AUTUMN RHYTHM (INACTIVE)
The Autumn Rhythm were only on Midriff long enough to release Secret Songs, a beautiful and promising album of dream-pop. Ambient guitar work, understated instrumentation and Valerie Allen's haunting vocals made for a minor masterpiece that is still one of our best sellers.

THE BEATINGS
Indie, alt, emo...who the heck cares anymore? Conjuring up the days of yore when the term "college rock" was synonymous with "good shit", The Beatings are not easily pinned down, preferring to pepper their intelligent, guitar-driven art-rock with noisy embellishments, sharp turns of song and screaming vocals. DIY since their formation in Boston in 1999, The Beatings have thus far booked six national tours and released five recordings through their imprint, Midriff Records.

E.R.
Beatings screamer/ guitarist Eldridge Rodriguez released his debut solo disc titled "This Conspiracy Against Us" in early 2007, and followed it up with an online only EP, "...And the Thunder Chief" in September 2007. His sound mixes folk/rock guitar and piano ballads with waves and waves of noise. Backed by (most of) The Spanish Armada (Greg Lyon, Dan Parlin, and Will Scales) our boy writes concerned pop-rock gems that he swears one day will be considered classics. You will dig him ... or he will hunt you down and hurt you.

GET HELP
Past, present and future; pop, rock and noise; Get Help has got you at every turn. Get Help create layered pop songs that are fresh and original and yet vaguely familiar. Their genre hopping debut Midriff release, The End of the New Country bounces around in your head long after you have ejected the disk and prove it's possible to be clever, literate and still rock your pants off. Oh yeah, and the band features Tony of The Beatings and Mike of Strikes Again fame. It's high school again...prepare to get educated. Get Help are comin' down the hall behind you...consider yourself pants'd!

IAN ADAMS
Affectionately referred to as "The Dark Prince of Lower Allston",
Boston's Rock City Crime Wave front man/ songsmith Ian Adams will
soon be releasing an as yet untitled solo recording on Midriff later
this year. The tracks are being produced by Eldridge Rodriguez and
range stylistically from Adams' signature "swamp-stomp boogie" to lush
orchestration and '70's era downtown New York street jive. You're
gonna need a road atlas to find out how you got to all the places this
album took you to.

KUDGEL
Abrasive, noisy, scary, gentle, happy, sad, adolescent and beloved, Kudgel hit the ground running on their way to becoming a Boston legend. Droning, wiry guitars, irresistable hooks and an unmistakable vocal signature are the mark of these statesmen of the Boston scene. Although they stopped operating as regular band in the early 90s, we are proud to bring their awesome "Sea Monkey" 10-inch to CD for the first time, as well as an EP of unreleased material.

LA FACCIA BRUTTA
Purveyors of political and social commentary through noise pop, La Faccia Brutta is the self-described "most important band...ever."
A collective of Boston musicians including Greg of Pending Disappointment and E.R.
and Dennis of The Beatings, the band is currently recording their debut full length,
working title: "Season in Hell". La Faccia Brutta stands by their decree:
"When the revolution comes, anyone who spends over 30 grand on a car will
be buried alive in it."

PENDING DISAPPOINTMENT
Guitar, drums, bass...and a whole lotta disenchantment. We don't know what got under these guys' skin, but it makes for some great rock. Loaded with hooks and harmonies that recall everything from Led Zeppelin to Modest Mouse.

SCUBA
These guys discover a wider variety of patterns and textures than Martha Stewart on her annual curtain safari. Distortion and noise served over a warm bed of melodic indie pop. You won't have room for dessert.

THE SPANISH ARMADA
Resident wanderers. We know Crawford Buckley and L. Tiburon Pacifico exclusively via telegram and postcard. They've explored the high plains and the deep seas, and found the bottom of a bottle or two while they were at it.
We wait with baited breath for their safe return, their coats bedecked with medals ... their arms filled with the spoils of battle.

STRIKES AGAIN!
Strikes Again! throw down the most irresistable anthemic rock of the modern age. This is a band tearing songs out of themselves, unforgettably sung and played in a frenzy by the tightest four-piece in Manhattan.
